StarSkate Additional Ice Time
Skaters can purchase additional ice time and attend a session they are not registered for. You must have a current Skate Canada Membership to purchase an extra session / guest ice pass. In addition, you need to check with one of your coaches ahead of time as they need to manage skaters on the ice.
StarSkate Testing / Evaluations / Assessments
Skaters in the StarSkate 1 to StarSkate 5 programs are assessed by the coaches. The coaches determine when the skaters have met the standard to be assessed and each skater is assessed and progresses through the program individually. When a coach has determined that an assessment will happen, they will inform and discuss with the parents of the skater.
Skaters in the StarSkate 5+ programs are assessed by Skate Canada evaluators. Testing at this level will happen as a "Test Day" and the club will arrange to have an evaluator come to the club to conduct the assessments.
All test fees in the SkarSkate program are $12.00. This is Skate Canada fee that the club must submit to the national office. If a skater is participating in a test day with an evaluator we ask they also contribute $10 (Evaluator Travel Fee) per skater. You can learn more about the StarSkate Assessments at Skate Canada StarSkate Assessment.
